Terms & Conditions
Green Signals Driving School is operated by Green Signal Pty Ltd (ABN 92 650 051 013).
References to “Green Signals Driving School”, “we”, “us” or “our” in these Terms and Conditions mean Green Signal Pty Ltd, operating under the Green Signals Driving School brand.
By booking or participating in a driving lesson or other service provided by Green Signals Driving School, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions.
Driving Lessons
All driving lessons are provided by Green Signals Driving School through its instructors and are subject to instructor availability.
Lessons are generally provided in automatic vehicles. Students must hold a valid learner permit, driver licence or other legally recognised authority to drive, as applicable to their circumstances.
Students are responsible for complying with all applicable Victorian road rules and licensing requirements.
Bookings
Lessons must be booked in advance and are subject to availability.
A booking is considered confirmed once the required booking arrangements or payment have been completed.
Green Signals Driving School reserves the right to allocate instructors and vehicles according to availability and operational requirements.
Payments
Payment for driving lessons, packages and other services must be made in accordance with the payment arrangements provided at the time of booking. Accepted payment methods may include credit or debit card, electronic funds transfer, online payment services and any other method we make available. We may require payment in full before confirming a booking or commencing a lesson.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment is due at the time of booking. Where an invoice or other payment arrangement specifies a due date, payment must be received by that date. Customers must ensure that payment details are accurate and that sufficient funds are available. We may suspend or cancel bookings, decline to provide services or charge any applicable payment processing or recovery costs where payment is overdue, subject to applicable law.
Prices may change from time to time. The price applicable to a confirmed booking will be communicated to the customer at the time of booking.
Any applicable VicRoads fees, test booking fees or other government charges are separate from Green Signals Driving School service fees unless expressly stated otherwise.
Lesson packages must be used within the expiry period communicated at the time of purchase. If no expiry period is specified, a package must be used within 6 months from the date of purchase. Package lessons are subject to availability and must be booked in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. Packages are not transferable to another person unless we agree otherwise in writing, and may not be resold or exchanged for cash. We may allow a package to be transferred or extend its expiry date at our discretion, including where required by law or in exceptional circumstances.
Unless otherwise stated or required by law, payments for completed lessons, services already provided, no-shows, late cancellations and non-refundable government or third-party charges are not refundable. Where a refund is approved, it will generally be made to the original payment method, less any amounts properly payable for services provided, applicable cancellation fees or non-refundable third-party charges.
If a customer is entitled to a credit instead of a refund, the credit may be applied to a future booking or service within the period specified by us. Credits are not redeemable for cash, are not transferable unless we agree otherwise, and remain subject to availability and these Terms and Conditions. Any credit issued for a package will generally retain the same expiry date unless we agree otherwise.
If a customer disputes a charge, they must contact us as soon as reasonably practicable and provide details of the disputed transaction, the reason for the dispute and any supporting information. We will review the matter and may request further information. Customers should not initiate a payment reversal or chargeback without first contacting us, except where they are unable to resolve the matter or are otherwise entitled to do so under applicable law. We may provide relevant booking, attendance, payment and communication records to a payment provider or financial institution when responding to a disputed transaction. A disputed charge does not cancel the customer's obligation to pay any undisputed amount or affect a confirmed booking unless we agree otherwise. We will not charge a customer for a payment dispute where the charge was made in error by us, and any correction or refund will be handled in accordance with applicable law and the relevant payment provider's rules.
Nothing in this section limits any rights, guarantees or remedies available to customers under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law.
Cancellation and Rescheduling
Customers must provide at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule a standard driving lesson.
A standard driving lesson cancelled or rescheduled with at least 24 hours' notice may be moved to another available time without a cancellation fee. A cancellation or rescheduling request made less than 24 hours before the scheduled start time will incur a fee equal to 100% of the booked lesson price, whether the booking is for a one-hour lesson, a 90-minute lesson or any other standard lesson duration.
A customer who does not attend a confirmed lesson, arrives too late for the lesson to proceed, or is unavailable at the agreed pick-up location without providing at least 24 hours' notice will be treated as a no-show and charged 100% of the booked lesson price.
For driving tests and test-day bookings, including bookings for a vehicle, instructor or pre-test lesson allocated specifically for test day, customers must provide at least 48 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule. A driving test or test-day booking cancelled or rescheduled with at least 48 hours' notice may be moved to another available time, subject to any non-refundable government or third-party fees.
A driving test or test-day booking cancelled or rescheduled less than 48 hours before the scheduled time will incur a fee equal to 100% of the applicable Green Signals Driving School service fee for that booking, in addition to any non-refundable VicRoads, test booking, vehicle or other third-party charges.
Failure to attend a driving test or test-day booking, arriving too late for the test or vehicle handover, being unavailable at the agreed location, or being unable to proceed because the customer does not meet the relevant licensing, eligibility or vehicle requirements will be treated as a no-show. The customer will be charged 100% of the applicable Green Signals Driving School service fee, together with any non-refundable government or third-party charges.
VicRoads may require at least 24 hours' notice for changes to a driving test booking. Customers remain responsible for complying with any VicRoads notice requirements and for any fees, charges or consequences imposed by VicRoads or another government or third-party provider.
If a driving test is cancelled, postponed or unable to proceed by VicRoads, an authorised testing officer or another authority, the customer remains responsible for any applicable Green Signals Driving School service time or costs already incurred, unless we agree otherwise. Any refund or credit of government or third-party fees is subject to the relevant provider's rules.
Fees may be waived or reduced at Green Signals Driving School's discretion in exceptional circumstances, including where required by law. Any rescheduled booking remains subject to availability and these Terms and Conditions.
Driving Tests
Customers are responsible for ensuring that they meet all applicable VicRoads requirements for their driving test.
Where Green Signals Driving School provides a vehicle and instructor for a driving test, the vehicle must be available and suitable for the test at the scheduled time.
Government or VicRoads test and licence fees are the responsibility of the customer unless expressly included in a package.
Green Signals Driving School does not guarantee that a customer will pass a driving test. The outcome of a driving test is determined by the relevant authorised testing officer.
Student Responsibilities
Students must:
- Follow the instructions of their driving instructor.
- Comply with Victorian road rules and applicable licensing conditions.

- Wear appropriate footwear and clothing suitable for driving.

An instructor may refuse to commence or continue a lesson if they reasonably believe that the student is not fit or legally permitted to drive safely.
Instructor Safety
The safety of the student, instructor, passengers and other road users is our priority.
An instructor may terminate or suspend a lesson if they reasonably believe that continuing the lesson would create an unacceptable safety risk or breach a legal requirement.
Instructor and Vehicle Changes
Green Signals Driving School may, where reasonably necessary, change the instructor or vehicle allocated to a booking due to circumstances including vehicle availability, maintenance, illness, emergencies or other operational requirements.
Where reasonably possible, customers will be notified of significant changes in advance.
Driving Test Vehicle
Where a customer uses a Green Signals Driving School vehicle for a driving test, the vehicle will be provided subject to availability and suitability for the relevant test requirements.
The customer remains responsible for complying with any VicRoads requirements applicable to the driving test.
Personal Belongings
Customers are responsible for their personal belongings during lessons and while using a Green Signals Driving School vehicle.
